Fancy meeting you here!
I am a freelance writer and blogger from Hyderabad, but based in India’s capital —Delhi, for now. In my pre-nuptial avatar, I had worked as a technical mentor and analyst in the IT sector, for a few years. Much later, I donned the mantle of a lecturer inspiring teens to fall in love with Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw, while also tussling between War and Peace!
I hold a graduate degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Science education, and a post graduate degree in English. I also hold a Diploma in Business Management (DBM) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching English (PGCTE), apart from a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from Cambridge University. Yes! I love knowing things related to diverse fields.
I started my travel and lifestyle blog named PolkaJunction in the year 2016, and it has been one heck of a roller-coaster ride with loads of travels, events and writings. Blogging eventually paved the way to full-time freelance writing in 2018. Since then, I have reported on many travel, science and culture stories for Indian and international publications alike[ both and print and digital format].
In all these years of reporting, creating content and blogging, I’ve worked on diverse topics that ranged from quirky destinations to local cuisine and sustainability to microbial art.
